What is a pool coating visualizer?
A pool coating visualizer is an interactive tool that shows what a specific coating colour will look like on your own pool after renovation. The ACRATON® Dolphin Visualizer combines a photo of your existing basin with the exact HEX value of the chosen ACRATON® colour and simulates the expected end result photorealistically — including water reflections, light direction and the way the water tint inherits the new coating.
Unlike a regular colour chart or swatch, a visualizer shows what the water will do: the tone of the concrete below the water surface defines how deep, clear or dark the water finally appears. This prevents you from ordering a coating that in practice gives a completely different look than you had in mind.
Which colour should I pick for my pool?
Use these rules of thumb alongside the visualizer:
- Public municipal pools: 2041 Pool Blue or 2042 Lagoon Blue — the most recognised and hygienic-looking.
- Hotel pools and wellness: 2040 Aqua Mint or 2043 Sky Blue — premium, light appearance.
- Kids' pools: 2043 Sky Blue — cheerful, clear and reassuring.
- Architectural design / natural pool: 2055 Sea Pearl or 2056 Sand Yellow — true-to-nature water colour.

How realistic is the simulation?+
The Visualizer uses Gemini Nano Banana — an advanced image AI model. Colour fidelity is good enough for visualisation and stakeholder presentations, but for the final decision we always recommend requesting a physical colour sample — free from PoolFIX.
Does the Visualizer also work for my concrete pool?+
Yes — concrete outdoor public pools are exactly what the tool is built for. ACRATON® Dolphin is a 2-component epoxy coating applied directly to concrete. For liner pools, polyester basins or membrane pools the tool is less suitable.
Which colours can I compare?+
Eight official ACRATON® Dolphin colours (product codes 2040–2058): Aqua Mint, Pool Blue, Lagoon Blue, Sky Blue, Sea Pearl, Sand Yellow, Coral Red and Marker Yellow. The last two are signalling colours — for lines or depth markings, not full coverage.
Are my photos stored?+
No. Photos are only processed temporarily to generate the AI render and then immediately discarded. We don't store copies, don't use your image for training and don't sell data. Fully GDPR-compliant.
How long does rendering take?+
Typically 6 to 20 seconds per colour, depending on photo size and server load. You can try unlimited new colours — your last six renders stay visible for quick comparison.
Is ACRATON® Dolphin suitable for public pools?+
