EVA Optic lighting, fastened with PoolFIX

Since early 2023, EVA Optic has been supplying its lighting systems with fastening products from PoolFIX. This brings fastening into pool projects as a separate technical component.

Collaboration

Formalized in early 2023

PoolFIX contribution

Nuts, bolts, and screws

Selection basis

Project, location, and load

Two specialties, one project path

Fastening belongs to the lighting system

EVA Optic develops lighting for pool environments. PoolFIX focuses on fastening products and the associated material and documentation choices. In the collaboration, these components are brought together earlier.

That makes fastening visible in technical preparation: which item is used, where it goes, which exposure and load are relevant, and which product documentation applies to the supply?

The original EVA Optic publication mentions PoolFIX 5th generation and 1.4529. In the current PoolFIX route, PoolFIX Coated is reviewed first where a released product-specific rule exists for it. 1.4529 remains a limited exception that requires a project-specific technical assessment.

Key principle

The collaboration does not make any fastening item automatically suitable for every location. The final choice remains dependent on the specific application, current documentation, installation, and project-specific assessment.

What PoolFIX adds

From loose fastener to documented choice

The collaboration is not about one universal material, but about a verifiable route to a suitable fastening.

Application-driven selection

Location, exposure, substrate, load, and installation are taken into account in the material choice.

Item-specific documentation

Available product and batch documentation is linked to the item actually supplied.

Clear escalation

If no released rule or project information is available, technical material advice follows instead of automatic approval.

How we work together

Four steps from project request to delivery

The fastening choice is not added afterward, but treated as a verifiable part of project preparation.

  1. 1

    Document project data

Lighting system, fastening location, substrate, exposure, and load are defined concretely.

  2. 2

    Review the material route

PoolFIX checks the available information against current, released product-specific application rules.

  3. 3

    Choose the item and documentation

The selected fastening is linked to the available technical product and delivery documentation.

  4. 4

    Deliver and keep traceability

The project party receives the agreed items with the available item and batch information.

Clear division of roles

Specialized collaboration without a general product promise

EVA Optic remains the specialist in the lighting solution. PoolFIX supports the selection and supply of fastening products. Design, structural verification, installation, inspection, and maintenance remain responsibilities within the relevant project.

This case describes the collaboration path. It is not a project-specific approval, structural calculation, declaration of conformity, or substitute for current product documentation.

Source and image credit

This case has been rewritten from a PoolFIX perspective based on the EVA Optic publication about the collaboration. The project images come from EVA Optic and are hosted locally with source attribution.
