Inspection starts with an inventory: product reference, batch where available, location, load function, substrate, exposure and installation record. A visual check alone cannot prove absence of stress corrosion cracking.

What this guidance does not claim
PoolFIX does not claim that HSG179, Building Regulations, BS EN 1993-1-4 or a National Annex automatically approves a product. Project-specific design and acceptance remain necessary.
Frequently asked questions
Is PoolFIX coated automatically suitable for every swimming-pool application?
No. It is the primary PoolFIX system commercially, but an automatic recommendation requires a validated product-specific application rule.
Can 1.4529 be used for a ceiling point within 1.0 metre of the water?
No. The prohibited overhead position takes precedence over distance.
What happens when application information is incomplete?
The automatic selector returns Technical review required and does not recommend a product.
