Why assess a 2-component epoxy on concrete pools?
Concrete condition, moisture, thermal movement and existing layers affect adhesion and performance. A two-component high-solid epoxy can be considered within the current manufacturer system; verify preparation, layer build-up, curing and intended use for the project.
Step-by-step: paint a concrete pool
1. Fine blast to remove old coatings and laitance. 2. Repair cracks and pitting with epoxy repair mortar. 3. Rinse with clean tap water and let dry fully. 4. Mix 75:25 (volume) base on hardener 2V59. 5. Apply first coat by roller or airless spray. 6. Apply second coat after the minimum recoat interval (24 h at 20 °C). 7. Allow full underwater cure (6 days at 20 °C).
